Google released new product features on November 12, 2025, allowing all e-commerce sites to share shipping and returns information without requiring a Merchant Center account.
The feature is rolling out slowly across all countries and languages in the coming weeks.
Ways of implementation
Google provides two distinct implementation paths for sharing fulfillment policies. Merchants choose between Search Console's point-and-click interface or code-based structured data depending on their technical preference.
Search Console Setup
Google opened its fulfillment policy feature to all online stores it recognizes as merchants. Before, only Merchant Center users could access this. Now, any eligible store can use the simpler function.
Store owners enter their shipping and returns rules directly in Search Console settings, no coding needed. These settings take priority over any code on your website.

Structured Data Implementation
For stores that prefer coding, Google added site-wide organization-level shipping policy markup, similar to last year's returns markup option.

This saves time since you don't need to add code to every product page. You add the shipping code once to your shipping policy page (where you explain delivery terms to customers).
Google recommends placing shipping structured data (nested under Organization) on the page where you describe your shipping policy.
Test your code with the Rich Results Test before going live.
These site-wide rules work for all products unless you set different rules for specific items. Stores already using product-specific codes can retain them while adding site-wide defaults.
When set up correctly, your shipping details may show in search results, knowledge panels, and product listings.
This update levels the playing field for smaller merchants who don't use Merchant Center. If you're not showing shipping information in search results yet, now's the time to implement it before your competitors do.
