Google announced major Chrome updates powered by Gemini 3, introducing "auto browse" - an AI agent that autonomously completes multi-step web tasks for AI Pro and Ultra subscribers in the U.S.

The agentic feature handles time-consuming activities like comparing travel dates across booking sites, filling forms, scheduling appointments, and even shopping by identifying items in photos and adding them to carts while applying discounts.

Chrome now includes a persistent Gemini side panel for multitasking, image transformation via Nano Banana, and deeper integration with Gmail, Calendar, and other Google apps. Personal Intelligence will arrive in coming months, providing proactive, context-aware assistance.
