Google is now testing out extremely long AI-generated meta description snippets in SERPs. The experiment appears confined to forum results from Reddit and is showing on both mobile and desktop.

What's Happening
Clicking on the "More" button at the end of the meta description generates a longer snippet that takes up significant SERP space. The extended content is marked with the Gemini logo and pulls together information from multiple Reddit threads.
What This Means
This raises questions about whether Google is conditioning users to stop clicking through to websites and instead consume all information directly on the SERP. It could be preparation for a complete shift into Google AI mode as the standard browsing experience.
We're monitoring whether this feature expands beyond Reddit to other forum-related websites or becomes standard across all search results.
